ROSS Peltier believes the Bulls are a good news story for Bradford again.

The big forward is immensely proud of his home city – and sees the club’s promotion back to the Championship as a chance to show it off in a positive light.

Peltier said: “I’m a big advocate for the city. I’m very vocal about the love I have for Bradford.

“I’m always around doing various community things. I love Bradford with all my heart, born and bred here.

“Hopefully we can give Bradford something to cheer about – Bradford City have been struggling, so we can be the shining light.”

As a lifelong Bulls fan, Peltier admits it has been extra special to be part of the revival under John Kear.

The terrace hero missed only one game through the season, when his son had just been born, and scored 11 tries.

“I’ve loved this club from a kid and watching the demise was hurtful,” he added.

“I always dreamed of playing here and to be part of the rebuilding process is a massive thing for me. It pushes me on that extra bit further.

“I was here last year when we got relegated and remember that feeling against Rochdale. I said to myself that I didn’t want to feel like that again.

“It’s such a great club and I signed here when I was 12.

“It was a big thing for me to help get the club back in the Championship and rebuilt to where we should be at.

“But it’s still been a long way and a tough journey. It’s not been as easy as we thought.

“We’ve fallen and stumbled. But we’ve also learned a lot about ourselves and dug deep.”
