LUKE Howsen scored seven goals as Carleton Sports Club cruised to a 9-4 victory over Rolls on Saturday.

Although Carleton trailed 3-1 at half-time, Howsen's prolific scoring lifted the visitors to victory at the Barnoldswick ground.

His teammates, Joshua Banks and Leon Smith, got the other goals for Carleton and Nick Schofield (2), Paul Oldroyd and Damon Clark scored for Rolls.

League leaders Silsden Whitestar had a good start to the second half of the season when they beat Skipton Town 4-1 at Silsden AFC.
