BARNOLDSWICK Town have brought in two players on loan as they bid to get back to winning ways against Bootle this Saturday at Silentnight Stadium.

Town have added two young midfielders Ethan Kershaw and Kian Yari to their team in an effort to bounce back after a run of five straight defeats.

Kershaw and Yari have both joined from Premier League outfit Burnley on loan until the end of the season.

This is Kershaw's second stint at Town after he spent time on loan with the Barlick club earlier in the season and made a big impression before returning to Turf Moor.

Yari too has been loaned out by Burnley this season with a two-month spell at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One West outfit Kendal Town.

The two players will be a welcome addition to Town, who currently sit ninth in the Hallmark Security League's Premier Division with 47 points.

They have two games in hand on the three teams above them - Ashton Athletic, Charnock Richard and Burscough - who have 48, 48 and 47 points, respectively.

Town's two games last week, a midweek encounter with Northwich Victoria at Silentnight Stadium and Saturday's match at league leaders City of Liverpool, were called off because of waterlogged pitches due to inclement weather.

This Saturday's opponent, Bootle, will be another tough game as they are second in the Premier Division, just two points behind City of Liverpool.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
