Oxenhope 6 East End Park 0

OXENHOPE bounced back from their disappointment of exiting the Keighley Cup last week with an impressive display of attacking football in West Yorkshire League Division One.

In the first minutes of the game a Lee Reilly shot was blocked, the ball came out to Dan Moriarty just inside the penalty area and he fired the ball beyond the keeper.

On 10 minutes, Sean Quinlan delivered a measured pass to Reilly, who slotted the ball home.

On the quarter Moriarty fed the ball through to Danny Driver who ran onto the ball and rifled it into the roof of the net.

The home side were dominating midfield with Ben White winning the ball and man of the match Quinlan delivering the passes.

Driver scored his second just before half time, chesting the ball down and then striking the ball past the keeper.

The home side continued their dominance after the break but the Leeds side were always dangerous on the counter attack, the home defence though were determined to keep a clean sheet.

On the hour James Bailey fired in a venomous shot from distance that gave the visitor's keeper no chance and five minutes later a cross from Bailey was headed in by Reilly for number six.

The win leapfrogs Oxenhope above East End Park into eighth place in the league.

Oxenhope's final fixture of the season sees them host Otley Town on Saturday (2.30pm).

Oxenhope: Driver R, Ward, Williamson, Andrew (Alexander-Connell), Nelson, White, Bailey, Moriarty, Reilly, Quinlan, Driver D.

Meanwhile, Oxenhope's young second string's good run of form continued with another impressive display as they held fourth-placed Leeds City Reserves to a goalless draw away from home in West Yorkshire League Alliance Division One.

On Saturday they travel to third placed Whitkirk Reserves (2.30pm) in their final fixture.
