ROB Cockell's 4-41 and 37 had a solid game for Mewies Solicitors Craven & District League Division Three leaders Skipton Church Institute where Oakworth II were the visitors.

Oakworth batted first and made 147-9, of which Bradley Powell made 46 and James Powell 33.

Skipton galloped to victory by seven wickets with Will Shuttleworth (43no) leading the way home.

Bingley Congs II are second after a 97-run defeat of Riddlesden. Tony Teale (28) Johnny Teale (6-26) and Aide Dibb (3-5) were the stars for the winners.

Hepworth & Idle II were in a mean mood on their travels to Thornton.

Thornton batted first and no batsman reached double figures as they were shot out for a paltry 37 in 22.5 overs. The bowling honours went to Don Wooller (4-14) and Mike Newall (3-13). The visitors lost one wicket reaching their target in 8.5 overs.

A crucial last-wicket partnership of 28 for the last wicket by Jack Andrews (19) and Edson Richmond (13) saw them reach 90 all out at home to Embsay II as George Arkwright (3-19) Henry Ellison (3-20) and Stephen Speak (3-39) shared the wickets.

The Shires Lane side replied with just 66 with Jack Kitchen scoring 30 as Vince Grant (4-12) and Jack Andrews (3-25) kept things tight. Nick Williamson (78no) and Steve Brown (61) were the backbone of Glusburn’s 233-6.

Visitors Haworth II managed 151 in reply as Williamson (4-17) and Bryan Hollis (3-30) bowled well.

There was a tense finish where Foulridge II and Silsden tied in a low scoring game.

Foulridge went first and were hustled out for 59 in just 13.3 overs with Will Pullan (7-24) and Kieran Lawrence (3-34) doing all the damage. Silsden took 26.2 overs in their innings with Irfan Khaliq taking (4-25) and Abrar Sarwar (3-25).

In Division Four, 10-man Airedale II moved to the top of the table after beating off Glusburn II by seven wickets.

Extras 16 was the top scorer for Glusburn who posted 65. Tim Crossley (27) was the mainstay of the winner’s innings.

Second are Ingrow II who smashed 252-8 in their innings with Ben Weatherall (86) and Dale Hoyle (54) putting on 124 for the third wicket and Ryan Higgs chipping with 41. The latter then took 5-22 as visitors Long Lee II were dismissed for 110.

Bingley Congs III beat Sutton ll by four wickets, Gargrave II were 63 runs too good for Skipton CI II and Cowling II saw off Bradley II by seven wickets.

Cononley II conceded to Keighley and Oakworth III conceded to Oakworth III.
