HARDEN put in an extraordinary bowling display in Division Three of the Aire-Wharfe League, dismissing Skipton for a paltry 27.

That was mainly down to an incredible effort from Daniel Viles, who took 7-9 in the four overs that he bowled.

Earlier in the afternoon, it looked like the usual Saturday misery for Harden. Rock-bottom and with their relegation already confirmed, they batted first and crumbled to 81 all out.

A score of 28 from George Gill had helped Harden up to 48-3, but they subsided after he was dismissed by James Emmott (5-26), with none of the remaining batsmen reaching double figures.

But Viles tore through Skipton's top and bottom order, and with a little help in the middle from Matthew Hogg (3-18), the pair needed only eight overs to ensure an improbable 54-run win for their side.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Steeton fell to a heavy 114-run defeat at home to high-flying Horsforth Hall Park. Jack Luxton dismissed both Horsforth openers early on his way to figures of 4-38 but that was as good as it got for the hosts.

A fine 72 from Sam Wilkinson propelled the visitors to 229 all out, before he shone with the ball, dismissing Steeton's top scorers Harris Rowlett (30) and Bradley Akrigg (25) on his way to figures of 5-37. The home side were eventually bundled out for just 115.
