CHAMPIONS Silsden were in no mood to take prisoners as they beat Hepworth & Idle II by seven wickets in Mewies Solicitors Craven & District League Division Three.

The visitors were knocked over for 88 with Kieran Lawrence (4-20) and Andy Roberts (3-9) doing most of the damage. Jack Lister made 41 as his side roared home.

The battle for second place saw Skipton CI take on Bingley Congs II with the latter winning by 81 runs to secure promotion.

Bingley made 220-6 with Charlie Raistrick (75no) and Andy Blackburn (67) putting on 124 for the fifth wicket.

Rob Cockell (47) led the disappointing reply of 139 with Towhid Ali (4-33) and Steve Broughton (3-35) doing most of the damage.

Bradley entertained Thornton and they lost by three wickets.

Bradley made a modest 116-9 with Chris Kimberley (31) top scoring as Mark Laycock (5-26) and Phil Oldfield (4-45) shared the wickets. Liam Walker made 26 for the Booth Bridge Laners as Phil Binner took 3-36.

Despite winning at Riddlesden by six wickets, Haworth II are still relegated.

Zain Naeem (30) helped Riddlesden to 106 as Charlie Shimmin claimed 5-13.

Neil Rollins (37no) and Shimmin (20no) put on an undefeated, match-winning partnership, of 57 for the fifth wicket.

Glusburn gained three valuable points when Foulridge II conceded and so escaped from the bottom two.

The basement battle between Embsay II and Oakworth II to see who went down to Division Four, went the way of the visitors.

Embsay were out of sorts on such a big game and perished for 98 with Archie Phillipson (29) top scoring as Bradley Powell (4-13) and Michael Scarborough (3-10) were the best bowlers.

Powell (31) and Charlie Raby (25) saw the visitors home with Simon Holt taking 3-18.

In Division Four, the game between Denholme II and Cowling II, the two promoted sides, would decide who would go up as champions.

Cowling II were struggling at 54-5 before Yasser Chatta (70) got to work with the tail and pushed the score to 211-9 at the end of their 40 overs.

Denholme could only manage 94-9 in reply with Callum Gerrard (33) top scoring as Zahid Shafait took 4-5.

James Dennison (5-12) helped to restrict Wilsden II to 67 all out at home to Bingley Congs III. The latter trotted home by six wickets.

Airedale II, batting first at Bradford Road, posted 130-7 with Nazam Hanif making 40. Visitors Gargrave II got home by four wickets with Tony Spensley hitting 81no.

Finally, Ingrow II conceded to Keighley III, Oakworth III conceded to Skipton CI II, Bradley II conceded to Sutton II and Cononley II conceded to Long Lee II – a sad state of affairs which needs looking at by the executive committee before next season. There has been nearly 40 concession this season.
