SILSDEN Whitestar are top of the Craven League after a pair of four-goal hauls saw them crush newly promoted Cross Hills 11-1 on Saturday.

Sam Stansfield and Christopher Matthew each scored four and man-of-the-match Gavin Shearer and Oliver Peacock added a goal each for Silsden. Joshua Clarkson scored a consolation for Cross Hills.

An Amin Ali hat-trick helped FC Sporting Keighley move into second place with an important 6-5 win over third placed Grassington United.
