STEETON face Pilkington at Cougar Park tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) and will be looking to gain their first home win of the campaign in North West Counties League Division One North.

The Chevrons will also hope to build on last Saturday's goalless draw at Daisy Hill.

Steeton will have a couple of new faces in the squad this week as they have completed the signings of midfielder James Ngoe and defender Jake Boyd.

They have had a tough start to the season and manager Roy Mason and his backroom staff have been working overtime on the training ground and behind the scenes to turn the fortunes around.

He said: "Performances in the past few games have been much better and we have shown some of the fighting qualities of late that were missing in the opening fixtures.

"It was always going to be a tough ask competing with teams with much bigger budgets than us, but we need to look at all avenues of how we can improve the squad and hence improve results.

"The signings of James and Jake this week give us a bit more strength and both players are experienced at this level."

Entrance for the game is £5 adults, £3 concessions and children 16 and under are free.
