SILSDEN and Albion Sports could still not be separated as the sides drew 1-1 at the Cobbydale Construction Stadium just one week after sharing six goals in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division reverse fixture.

John Francis’ Albion had a man sent off when they were a goal down but still managed to earn a point. The Cobbydalers had taken the lead midway through the first half through Jake Taylor-Mountford and they created several chances to double their lead.

The Lions stood firm even when Jack McGahan received his marching orders with more than a quarter hour remaining. They grabbed a point in the penultimate minute as Jordan Chippendale’s free-kick from outside the area zipped past Silsden keeper Ben Higginson.

Steeton are out of the Macron Cup in the North West Counties League despite a late brace for Tawonga Gumboh away at Garstang.

The home side were two up at half-time after Ric Coar opened the scoring and Ben Roberts had added.

Goals from Jacob Salisbury and Andy Murphy had the Lancashire outfit four up but Gumboh ensured a nervy ending after hitting back in the 77th minute and adding his second four minutes later.

A sending off late in the first half cost Brighouse Town as they also went down 4-2 at Kendal Town in the BetVictor League North West Division.

Powell’s men had an early two goal lead after strikes by Joe Jagger and Shiraz Khan, but the visitors’ Emil Jaskeleinen halved the deficit and on the stroke of half-time Brighouse’s Kurt Harris was shown a straight red card.

The visitors held out until the final quarter of the game when the home side cruised to victory after a brace from Joe Dickson either side of a Chris Sloane strike.
