ROLLS became the first Craven League team to advance to the quarter-finals of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy when they beat Carleton Sports Club 5-4 on Saturday.

A brace by Gareth Hargreaves led the way for Rolls, as man-of-the-match Liam Garbutt, Joel Duerden and Luke Cockcroft were also on the scoresheet for the West Craven side.

Kieron Hall scored a brace for Carleton and Ashley Purnell and Benjamin Teal had a goal each for the visitors.

In the only Premier Division game played on Saturday, Skipton Town came from behind to beat Settle United 4-3.

Goals by David Worthington and Tom Strickland put Settle 2-1 up at half-time, but goals by Skipton's Ben Cox, Liam Coates, Michael Conroy and Oliver Scott-Crawford saw Skipton secure the victory.

In Division One, Silsden Whitestar Reserves moved up to second place with 6-2 win at Trawden Celtic Juniors Reserves.

Marco Lorente Jimenez scored a brace to lead Whitestar, while Bradley Fay, Damien Whiteoak, Joe Whitlock and substitute James Hitch were also on the scoresheet for the visitors.

A brace by Luke Barker led Cowling to a 2-0 victory at home to Settle United Reserves.

In Division Two, second placed Salts 3rds blitzed Bradley by a score of 7-2, thanks to four goals by Adam Dziedzic, two from Sam Boldy and one by Samuel Shaw.

Lee Britain and Calum Wootton scored the goals for Bradley.

Darren Rands, Daniel Miller and Andrew Radozevic were all on the scoresheet for Baildon Trinity Athletic, who beat Settle United Reserves 3-1. Nicolas Cokell scored a consolation for Settle.

In Division Three, leaders Salts 4ths beat Bingley Town Reserves 2-1 and FC Sporting Keighley Reserves got their first win of the season with a 3-1 win against Otley Town A.
