KEIGHLEY Cricket Club have welcomed home their most influential player from the past three decades by re-signing legend Richard Robinson from Yeadon.

Robinson is the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League’s all-time highest run scorer with 17,476 runs to his name.

Having also had stints at Baildon and Brighouse, he has amassed these runs at an impressive average of 40.27.

Robinson cannot wait to get back to his roots and is hoping to commit to as many games as possible.

He will add some much-needed experience with both bat and ball to a young Keighley squad.

They will also surely benefit from his advice and vast knowledge of the game as they prepare for the season ahead in Championship One.

Robinson is Keighley's second signing in a week, following Hasnehn "Haz" Haider’s capture from Harden, and the club hope to announce at least three more signings in the coming month.

This stockpiling of players is hardly surprising, as preparations continue in the background for Keighley to put out three senior sides this coming term.

Their first team will hope the captures of Robinson and Haider can aid a push for the Premier Division, after Keighley finished eighth in Championship One in 2019 following the previous year's promotion from the third tier.
