HOMEGROWN Keighley Cougars player Jordan Aitchison has undergone an operation on his heart condition.
He tweeted from his hospital bed yesterday evening that the surgery had been a success, although he admitted the doctor had had to overcome a slight complication.

The utility back was only diagnosed with the condition last month. It was discovered by Cougars' club doctor, and widely-respected cardiologist, Dr Richard Lawrence, during a routine electrocardiogram (ECG) ahead of pre-season.
Aitchison was told that, with surgery, he should be able to resume his career as normal, and he told the Keighley News last week that he hoped to be banging on head coach Rhys Lovegrove's door around halfway through the season.
