KEIGHLEY Cougars will have to wait until next weekend to play their Challenge Cup Third Round tie at home to Newcastle Thunder, after Storm Ciara put paid to any hopes of play yesterday.
The referee inspected the ground yesterday morning and due to the torrential downpour and strong winds at the time, he decided to call the game off in the interests of player and spectator safety.
The game will now take place next Sunday at 3pm, which means Cougars' Betfred League One opener against Hunslet will now have to be rearranged.
