A VICTORY helped Grassington United move to the top of the Craven League on another wet weekend which saw all but one game postponed because of the weather.
Jan Ozdoba put Grassington 1-0 up in the second minute against Rolls on Saturday, and the North Craven side never looked back from there, cruising to a 4-0 win on a 3G pitch at Sandylands.
Reece Fowler scored a second goal for Grassington on 27 minutes and they went into half-time with a 2-0 lead.
Peter Messenger was on target in the 62nd minute to give United a 3-0 lead and substitute Oscar Canny came on to score the home side's final goal in the 69th minute.
Grassington are now two points clear at the top of the Premier Division on 27 points.
Trawden Celtic Juniors are second with 25 points, but they have three games in hand.
Third placed FC Sporting Keighley, who are on 24 points, also have one game in hand on the leaders.
Silsden Whitestar and Rolls each have 18 points, but the Silsden side have a greater goal difference to claim the fourth spot. Whitestar also have four games in hand on Grassington.
