Keighley Cougars Ladies have drawn League One side Rochdale Hornets in the second round of the Coral Challenge Cup.

Newly-formed Keighley, who will be competing in the Championship this season after gaining promotion under their former name of Albion, cruised into the next stage of the cup with a 36-12 win over RAF Ladies at the start of March.

While, upcoming opponents Rochdale received a bye through the opening round, but have been in action recording a convincing 54-0 victory over Manchester University in a pre-season friendly.

Keighley hammered the bottom-placed Hornets in their two League One fixtures last term, nilling them away 24-0 before a 64-4 smashing in the reverse match.

The match will be played on March 22.

Other scheduled ties in the second round include: Widnes Vikings v Halifax RLFC, Stanningley v Huddersfield Giants, Barrow Raiders v Warrington Wolves, Cutsyke Raidettes v East Leeds, Oulton Raidettes v Wigan St Patricks, Leigh Miners Rangers v British Army and Hull Kingston Rovers vs Hull FC.

The winners will join the remaining eight Betfred Super League sides in the third round which will be played on April 5.

The final will take place on June 6, the same day as the men's semi-finals at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Cougars are set to play their first Championship fixture on April 19, when they travel to Barrow.
