It looks as if there will be no more bowls action for the rest of the season
AS expected, the Alkincotes Classic in Colne was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It will be re-arranged if possible, or the prize-money will be shared.
The latter seems to be the ideal solution, as all local bowling has been cancelled.
This is due to a recent directive from the British Crown Green Bowling Association, and that appears to be that for this season in terms of action.
Local secretaries are hopeful that something could be saved towards the end of the season, but this seems very unlikely given the current climate.
