IN Division A of the Dales Council League, Leeds Caribbean batted first and made 189 (Mubtada Akhtar 42, Keith Marsden 5-59) before holding Pudsey St Lawrence to 175-7 (Lee Carass 51) to take top spot.

Bradford Moor were bowled out for 85 (Mark Wilson 4-14) by Cookridge, who replied with 89-2 (Ahtsham Ellahi 32no) to move up into second.

Halifax Direct dropped to third when they were bowled out for 126 (Rafaqat Mehmood 4-25) by lowly One Stop, who had scored 162 (Syed Abbas 63).

Woodhouse also lost their unbeaten record when they were bowled out for 133 (Asim Yasin 4-25) by Thornbury, who replied with 135-7 (Kamran Ali 68).

Savile Stars scored only 105 (Allan Mitchell 4-41), but opponents Drighlington also found conditions difficult and replied with a paltry 42 (Salim Hafejee 3-2).

In Division B, top met third, where Muff Field were dismissed for 117 (Bilal Hussain 5-21) by Thornbury B, who replied with 118-0 (Yassir Abbas 56 not out) to take over at the top.

Interlink recovered from 42-3 to finish on 212-7 (Ayub Bismillah 65), before bowling out Pudsey Congs for 115 for victory and second spot in the table.

Cookridge B scored only 115-7 but managed to inflict a first defeat on Mayfield, who were bowled out agonisingly short of their target, for 113 (Rameez Khan 5-21).

The highest score of the day saw Tong Park Esholt make a hugely impressive 268-2 (Jai Aujla 106no), and they bowled out Baildon for 205.

Shipley Providence were bowled out for 88 by Adel, who replied with 89-2 for victory.

In Division C, the joint leaders met and a young Rodley side made 263-5. The Drighlington B reply fell well short when they were bowled out for 110.

St Chads Broomfield moved into second place, when after bowling out previously unbeaten Baildon B for 73, they replied with 74-3.

In a low scoring game, Morley made 104 before bowling out Mayfield B for 79 for their first win.

Finally, Cookridge C scored 120-9 but held St Chads B to 83-9 in their reply.
