THERE was a poor showing from the Bradford sides in the Yorkshire Amateur League Supreme Division at the weekend, with a quartet of defeats.

Steeton Reserves suffered back-to-back home losses as they were beaten convincingly by high-flying Stanley United 6-0.

A Josh Whitely brace ensured United finished the week in first place, while the thumping condemned Steeton to the foot of the Supreme Division table.

Goal contributions from Adam Dutson, Greg Rowell and substitute Sean Fitzpatrick meant that Athletico were also subject to being hit for six, in a 6-1 hammering by Horsforth St Margaret's.

The loss continued Athletico’s winless start to the campaign, only gaining a point in their previous fixture away to Farsley Celtic Juniors.

Elsewhere in the Supreme Division, braces for Joe Firth, Joshua Maskill and Tom Ormonroyd provided Farsley Celtic Juniors with a 6-0 victory over Toller FC.

Toller's first defeat of the campaign pushes them down the table into 10th.

Route One Rovers had a tough fixture away at Leeds City FC and it was the hosts who were 6-3 victors. An outstanding Alistair Lewis quadruple punished Rovers in what was a thrilling encounter.

In the Premier Division, St Bedes produced a five-star performance, defeating local rivals Wibsey 5-3 in an entertaining fixture.

A Jermaine Moyce hat-trick clinched St Bedes their first victory of the season. Having only played one fixture, Wibsey remain pointless and sit in 10th place.

League debutants TVR United followed on from their impressive 4-1 victory away at Beeston Juniors with a tense 2-1 win away to PFC.

Asif Iqbal and Zak Arshed goals ensured TVR claimed maximum points from their opening two fixtures.

The win places them in second, only goal difference separating them and leaders Ealandians Reserves.

Idle conceded five in a 5-3 home defeat against Ealandians, leaving them in eighth.

Tyersal suffered their first Division One defeat of the season, losing 3-1 at home to Lepton Highlanders.

Nat Lingard, Alfie Smalley and Cole Barrett produced the goods for the Highlanders. Tyersal sit in ninth going into the next round of fixtures.

Finally, Fairbank United’s home fixture against Athletico Reserves was postponed.
