JAMES Gill was at the double for Crosshills as they beat Carleton Sports Club 3-2 to secure their first Craven & District Football League Premier Division win of the season.

The league was suspended for three weeks due to some players testing positive for coronavirus, but it finally got back underway over the weekend.

Unlike Crosshills, FC Sporting Keighley seemed a little rusty, and they lost 3-1 at Settle United despite a Robbie Fox goal.

Trawden Celtic Juniors edged their way to the summit of the league after drawing 1-1 at Bingley Town.

Silsden Whitestar, who had two players test positive at the start of the month, were not in action, but their reserves were, going down 2-1 at Trawden Celtic Juniors Reserves in Division One.

Cononley Sports Club went top of that division, as a Matthew Beckwith hat-trick helped them to a thumping 5-2 home win over Settle United Reserves.

Josh Nelson's goal proved little consolation for Broomhill as they slid to a 3-1 home defeat against Grassington United Reserves.

Elsewhere, AFC Barnoldswick thumped Addingham 6-2, as Callum Uttley hit five goals.

Sutton were involved in an extraordinary Division Two match at iPlay FC in Barrowford.

The visitors netted four times, courtesy of Terence Hargreaves, Jack Kennedy, Jack Sedgwick and Harvey Minton, but their defence let them down badly, as they ended up losing 7-4.

Baildon Trinity Athletic are top after winning 3-2 at Chatburn. Salts 3rd Craven missed their chance to reach the summit by losing 4-2 at Barnoldswick Barons Seniors.

The other result in the division saw Earby Town win 2-0 at home to Barlick Wanderers.

In Division Three, Crosshills Reserves and Cononley Sports Club Seconds drew 4-4 in a thriller, while Hellifield Sports went top after beating Salts 4th Craven 4-1.

Cowling Reserves have a 100 per cent record from their two games so far, after they won 1-0 at home to FC Sporting Keighley Reserves.

Sutton Reserves sit rock-bottom after losing 5-1 at Otley Town A.

Finally, Settle United 3rd thrashed Addingham Reserves 6-0.
