THERE was only a handful of games in the Yorkshire Amateur League's eight divisions on Saturday, with just two involving our sides going ahead.
One of those was in the Supreme Division, where rock-bottom Steeton Reserves suffered a horrible 5-0 defeat on the 3G pitch at Woodhouse Grove against Horsforth St Margaret's.
The Chevrons conceded all of those goals before the break, so were perhaps just grateful to keep the hosts scoreless in the second half.
There were no games for our sides in either the Premier Division, Championship or Division One, but there was an absolute thriller in Division Two.
Bradford Olympic must have thought they had their game against Littletown Reserves at Bradford Academy all wrapped up early on, going into the break 3-0 up.
But they reckoned without a superb comeback from the Wakefield side, who turned things round to snatch a 4-3 victory, with substitute Jacob Holt netting an 80th minute winner.
Olympic stay third-bottom after the defeat, though they have games in hand on all of the other teams in the division.
Sadly, with all grassroots football now suspended because of the new national lockdown, these will be the last Yorkshire Amateur League games for a while.
