Eric Newton, a Keighley legend, has passed away following an illness.
Keighley RUFC have sadly announced that club stalwart Eric Newton has passed away, after being ill for the last few months.
He had been a member of the club for over 40 years, which clearly shows his passion and dedication towards Keighley RUFC.
Eric even ran the colts team alongside Welshman Terry O’Brien in the late 1970s.
He was a much-loved and well-respected person who the club kept in regular contact with.
Eric regularly attended games and was a passionate and enthusiastic supporter of Keighley RUFC.
