KEIGHLEY'S new Australian Noah McFadyen must be reflecting on what a cruel game cricket can be.
He missed their first Bradford League Division One game of the season while he waited for his Visa clearance, but he made an incredible impact in his first game.
He scored a century and took five wickets but still ending up on the losing side, as Carlton won a close encounter by six runs to go joint top of the table with Jer Lane.
First, McFadyen took 5-65 but even his efforts could not stop hosts Carlton from making 237-8.
Kershaski John Lewis top scored with 59 and was backed up by Spencer Hunt (44no) and Steve Cooper (36).
McFadyen then topped his bowling performance by striking seven sixes and 15 fours as he made 137 out of Keighley's score of 231. Farrouk Alam (4-63) ensured Carlton edged home.
