After eight wins in a row in all competitions, Northern Counties East League Premier Division leaders Silsden slipped up at the weekend.
They were not at their best in a West Yorkshire derby at Golcar United, and lost 3-1, meaning they could relinquish top spot in midweek when rivals play and they are without a game.
Undone by set-pieces all day, the Cobbydalers went behind when George Doyle headed home a 20th minute corner.
Golcar quickly doubled their advantage, as Lee Bradshaw nodded another dead-ball delivery into the net.
Other than an early shot from Kayle Price that was easily dealt with, it was all Golcar in the first half, and Silsden were perhaps lucky to only be 2-0 down at the break.
But another soft free kick led to a third goal on 53 minutes from Malakai Phillip, before Adam Clayton responded for the Sils by heading home Casey Stewart’s delivery.
Price and Lewis Gartland both went close as Silsden looked to pull another goal back, but Golcar also missed a great one-on-one chance and had an effort disallowed.
Cobbydalers stopper Kyle Trennery made a good late save, as did his opposite number, but it was the hosts who deservedly claimed the spoils.
