Keighley Albion have finished second-bottom of the Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division this season, though played their part in a number of brilliant games.
They went up to the top flight from Division One at the end of last year, holding their own throughout 2024 against several established top-flight sides.
They were competitive once again on the final day, in a high-scoring final game at home to King Cross Park, which they lost 38-22.
Joseph Preston, Connor Meegan, Owen Palmer and Lewis Hutchinson all grabbed tries for Keighley.
Stand off Jacob Cox converted three of those, but King Cross were too strong, as they ended up finishing third in the table.
Relegation and promotion is not linear in the Yorkshire Men's League, so it remains to be seen which division Albion ply their trade in next year.
