Six former champions will head the 198-strong entry for Richmond Motor Club’s demanding Scott Trial on Saturday.

Silsden’s 12-time world trials champion Dougie Lampkin, former Haworth resident Wayne Braybrook, Phillip Alderson, Michael Phillipson, James Dabill and the 2011 winner Jonathan Richardson will all be tackling the Feldom Moor course.

The event involves almost 80 miles of moorland, tracks, hills and dales and will be ridden against the elements. Penalties are awarded for time taken over and above the fastest finisher.

Thirty-eight riders will be newcomers, including Chloe Rich-ardson, sister of Jonathan. Twenty-nine contenders will be under the age of 21 and there will be four female contestants.

One competitor who is expected to attract massive attention is Tyco Suzuki Superbike team rider Josh Brookes. He was in action at Brands Hatch last weekend and will find a totally different type of riding required on Saturday.

The Bradford DMC Autow-bars Championship trial at Rough Holden, Silsden last Saturday fired up in cold but sunny weather after a quick venue change from Town End Farm at Cowling.

Thirty-one contenders rode a three class and section course of ten sections and four laps.

Paul Bailey masterminded the sections, plotting some interesting lines.
