SPORTING Keighley's bid for the Northern Plant Hire Trophy is over for another season.

Their bid for a third successive victory – one win coming in the Skipton Body Repair Craven League Premier Division and one in the trophy – was ended when they were beaten 5-2 at AFC Colne in the second round.

In Division One, fourth-placed Broomhill were edged out 3-2 at home by Rolls Reserves.

Josh Nelson and substitute Harry Jarman netted for the hosts, while Bradley and Chatburn swapped places in seventh and eighth after the south Craven side triumphed 2-0 at home.

Ben Ramsden and man of the match Joe Stapleton were on target for Bradley.

In Division Two, leaders Silsden Whitestar Reserves won 4-1 at sixth-placed Skipton Town Reserves.

Man of the match Zac Conway, Simon Cox, Brad Fay and James Whitehead were the Whitestar marksmen as they stretched away in the second half after being 1-1 at half-time.

Substitutes Tim McNee and Kyle Willis both netted for second-placed Cowling Reserves in Division Three, with Jimmy Anson bagging a brace in their 4-0 win at Iplay FC Barrowford.

Meanwhile, visitors Cross Hills Reserves are up to fifth after a 9-4 thumping of Sutton.

Jordan Hough (4) and Luke Newton (2) scored the majority of the goals, with Jack Harrison, Scott Newton and Tom Snowden making up the tally.

Mickey Ruddock (3) and Chris Vollentine replied for tenth-placed Sutton.
