SILSDEN Whitestar kept up the pressure on leaders Settle United with a thumping 6-1 home victory over Sporting Keighley in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division.
Silsden were only 2-1 in front at half-time but established their superiority after the break to run out comfortable winners. Sam Stanfield and Oliver Peacock both bagged a couple each, with James Wilson and Joshua Metcalfe also on the scoresheet.
They currently sit four points behind the leaders with a game in hand. They have still only lost one game all season.
In Division Three, Broomhill Reserves missed the chance to close the gap on the top two after a very disappointing away performance at Iplay FC Barrowford.
Although they scored through Sean Bland and Joe Slater, they succumbed to a 5-2 defeat.
They retain third spot, despite the loss, but have played more games than most of the teams in the division. Their league position could look decidedly less rosy in a few weeks' time.
