A BRACE of tries each from Josh Rickett and Will Adams helped Bulls' reserves record a 32-20 victory over neighbours Keighley Cougars – with Alix Stephenson and Cobi Green also scoring.

Green and Adams grabbed early tries either side of a Cougars’ score as a fast start saw the Bulls establish an early advantage at Cougar Park.

A Rickett try and Adams’ second added to that lead just before the break, with Dane Chisholm proving instrumental on his return to action.

Stephenson got in on the act early in the second half before a brief Cougars fightback saw the hosts register three unanswered scores.

Rickett’s runaway try sealed the spoils for Garreth Carvell’s side – and a second successive win following victory against Featherstone last time out.

Chisholm, Jon Magrin, Evan Hodgson and Oliver Wilson all featured as the reserve-grade side looked to match the feat of the first team by returning from Keighley with the win.

Green broke the deadlock in atrocious conditions, intercepting a looping Keighley pass to race clear from halfway.

The home side responded immediately and keeping the ball alive on the last tackle reaped rewards, with Jack Arnold going over under the uprights.

A slick passing move on 17 minutes re-established the Bulls’ lead, Adams being put through a gap for his first of two tries.

Chisholm’s 40/20 laid the platform for a third Bradford score with half-time on the horizon, Rickett scoring on the following set with a spectacular diving effort in the corner.

On the hooter, Chisholm’s clever offload in the tackle found Adams for his brace, sealing a 20-6 advantage at the break.

Bradford started the second-half in the same vain, and Stephenson scored and converted to stretch his side’s advantage.

Keighley threatened a late comeback with three unanswered tries through Cain Crotty (2) and Taylor Prell – but Rickett’s superb 80-metre runaway score put an end to the hosts’ hopes.
