WITHOUT playing well, Wibsey made it three wins out of three in Yorkshire Division Four North West with a 36-0 home victory over Leeds Medics & Dentists.
The first score for the hosts at Northfield Road did not come until the 22nd minute when Kyle Carter scored a try that was converted by Andy Robinson.
On the half-hour, Wibsey’s man-of-the-match Jordan Payton got their second try, with Robinson’s boot making it 14-0.
However, Elliot Cousins then received a yellow card for a high tackle for the home side, and Medics, who were relegated last season from Yorkshire Division Three, did not suffer any further punishment before half-time.
Four minutes into the second half, Carter was sin-binned for querying a referee’s decision, but still the home side held firm, with Robinson increasing the lead to 17-0 with a 49th-minute penalty.
Wibsey’s third try came in the 57th minute via Brad Wright, which Robinson again improved, and the bonus-point score came 13 minutes later via Payton.
In the final minute, Ross Simpson bagged the fifth try, with player-head coach Robinson again tagging on the extras.
