WILL Whiteoak narrowly missed out on progressing to the second stage of European Tour Qualifying School.
The Shipley Golf Club member from Haworth, who has just turned professional, finished two shots off the qualifying mark at The Roxburghe Course in Scotland.
He shot rounds of 71, 72 and 70 to end on three under par, with those on five under (top 20 and ties) going through to the next stage in Spain.
Whiteoak said: "I played okay. I didn’t putt very well but to still nearly make it through anyway has made me me feel better if anything because I didn’t play that well. It's made made me feel more confident."
The 23-year-old is now preparing to compete on the EuroPro Tour next year.
