KEIGHLEY'S Sam Akers earned two gold medals as City of Bradford Swimming Club got the year off to a fine start at the Harrogate Janus Graded Meet.
He came top of the rostrum twice in B grade as City clocked up 22 golds at that level in the event at Harrogate Hydro.
There were even more top spots in A grade where Harris Khaliq (6) and Maya Griffiths (5) took star billing as 29 golds were won by the club.
The meet was a good introduction to competitive swimming for some of City’s emerging swimmers and produced a host of personal best times and Yorkshire qualifying times.
