WEBSTER Dorothy (nee Anderson) (formerly Wood) On 28 July 2020 peacefully at Currergate Nursing Home, Dorothy aged 83 years. After a short, progressive, illness borne with her typical positive spirit, strength of character and supported by her family and her faith. Much loved mum of Tim, Keith and Andrew, sister of Christine and the late Stanley and will be greatly missed by Tim's partner Jane, daughter-in-law Jody, grandchildren Adam and Daniel and all her wider family and many friends. In the current unprecedented circumstances, and not wishing to place anybody at risk, the funeral will be private. Family flowers only please but donations would be appreciated to the Brain Tumour Research Charity and may be made online at www.david-gallagher.co.uk May she rest in peace.

Dorothy was a dear friend of my wife, Audrey. They were at school together and both worked for Barclays Bank. My friendship with Dorothy goes back a long time as well and although she and I met infrequently I can never remember a time together without pleasant conversation and laughs. I will miss her. One thing is for certain, her faith will have helped her through these last difficult weeks. Family flowers only at the funeral. Well, here are mine Dorothy. You should have had them in March!
