LAST weekend there was almost a full programme for our local teams in the West Riding League.

Once again there was a restricted Women’s Football programme after postponements but some teams utilised local all-weather facilities to ensure games went ahead.
LAST weekend there were a limited number of league matches in the West Riding County League due to the League Shield, with entertaining games and many close results despite the difficult and challenging conditions on the day.
SILSDEN Juniors were back to winning ways in the County Premier, a bottom-of-the-table clash at home to Brighouse Sports. The 11–1 victory included four from Anna Fryers.
