WE shall be holding the Yorkshire and North-East Welsh Hymn-Singing Festival – the Cymanfa Ganu – in the Huddersfield area on Saturday, May 12.
This year it will be at Lindley Methodist Church, East Street, Lindley, Huddersfield HD3 3ND.
The leader will be the Rev Philip Barnett, originally from Y Bala, and our organist will be Trystan Lewis, Deganwy.
Most of the hymns are sung in Welsh but spoken parts of the services are in Welsh and English.
The two services are from 2pm to 3.30pm and 4.45pm to 6.30pm.
Bring a snack for the interval: tea and coffee will be available then and again at the end of the second session.
A collection will be taken to ensure the continuing survival of this historic festival.
Car parking will be available nearby.
