THE BAND Lord Huron, who play Leeds next week, had their genesis in North America’s Lake Huron.
Founder Ben Schneider’s visit to his family home in northern Michigan in 2010 evoked “ancient memories, smoke over the moon and nights full of perilous laughter”.
Back in Los Angeles, Ben wrote songs inspired by his visit and gathered together a band of Michigan musicians to play them.
After a pair of EPs, the debut album Lonesome Dreams was released in 2012 and the band have toured ever since.
Lord Huron perform at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on June 4, as part of a UK tour.
