HARDEN Players claim a world first for their next production in the village.
Members of the society have written a singalong rock opera entitled Barghest! A Yorkshire Werewolf!.
A spokesman said: “A dog puppet plays a minor role and has been made by a member of the society. He/she hasn't got a name yet.”
The Players this month took to Facebook to ask fellow villagers to suggest a name for the puppet, offering two free tickets to the successful entrant.
Harden Players are best known for their annual pantomime, but in the past have staged a wide variety of shows including the Calendar Girls play, a Jane Austen spoof, medieval Mystery Play and a historic melodrama.
