CAMILLA George will play the Seven Arts Centre in Leeds on February 26 in advance of the release of her album Isang.
Although this is her debut album, the Nigerian born, MOBO-nominated saxophonist, composer and teacher is already an established musician on the jazz circuit.
A graduate from Trinity College of Music, having won the Archer scholarship for outstanding performance, George has studied with many jazz greats including Jean Toussaint, Tony Kofi, Julian Siegel and Martin Speake.
Since 2004 she has been working with both Tomorrow’s Warriors and the Nu Civilisation Orchestra and, from 2009, the award winning band, Jazz Jamaica.
