THE ROCKY Horror Show is returning to Leeds Grand with a cast including the Blue pop singer Duncan James, Strictly Come Dancing star Joanne Clifton and comedian Steve Punt.
Richard O’Brien’s legendary musical open in London in 1973 and became a cult classic, being performed in more than 30 countries and translated into 20 languages.
Musical numbers include Sweet Transvestite, Science Fiction/Double Feature, Dammit 999Janet and of course floor-filler The Time Warp.
The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky-clean college kids who meet Dr Frank-n-Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house while on their way to visit their favourite college professor.
It’s an adventure they’ll never forget, in a musical with rude parts.
Duncan James said: “Frank is such an iconic role, it’s an honour to be able to play him. I’m so excited to be touring with such a full and vibrant show.”
Joanne Clifton said: “I’ve always loved Rocky Horror. I learned the Time Warp in my dance classes in Grimsby when I was four years old.”
The Rocky Horror Show is at Leeds Grand from August 19-24.
