Last week I was invited to attend the spring show presented by Keighley Youth Theatre, KYDZ.
Our Day out by Willy Russell is a musical about a school trip for deprived children.
The cast of children aged 10 to 18 gave an entertaining performance of song and dance routines with comedy all along the way.
Some, if not all of these children showed great talent in their presentation with especial commendation to the artistes playing Mrs Kay the teacher (Safiya Allaf) and the two troublesome children Reilly and Linda (Hannah Taylor and Sevi Ledgard) who end up hand in hand after a great day out.
I hope I get invited to their next production in July, entitled Drama Queens.
