A defiant shopkeeper thwarted an armed robber who attempted to steal the contents of the till.
When the knife-wielding raider walked into the Bridge Mini Mart, in Halifax Road, Keighley, and demanded cash, the shopkeeper threw the till tray and contents at him and he fled empty-handed.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened at about 7.45pm yesterday, or who has information to come forward.
The would-be robber is described as white, aged 18 to 20, slim and 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing a dark head-covering, a dark coloured coat and a blue backpack.
Anyone able to help should contact Detective Constable Mick Ineson at Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
