An organiser of this year’s successful Haworth steampunk weekend said plenty of people have offered their support to stage the event next year.
Main Street trader Nikki Carroll said the 2014 event should take place over the weekend of November 21 to 23.
“We had comment after comment on the event Facebook page from people wanting us to hold it again,” she said.
“And pretty much everybody wanted it at the same time of year.
“We already have lots of different ideas. For example, the next event may include a workshop to show people how to take something like an antique gun and modify it into a steampunk style object.
“People are saying that they’d like to be part of the planning committee.
“We were overwhelmed with how well the first weekend went, and we want to make it even bigger and better for next year.”
