The departing chairman of Airedale Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was thanked for his years of service to the organisation.
Colin Millar’s contribution was recognised at the latest meeting of the foundation trust’s management board.
Non-executive director, Ronald Drake, said: “I would like to say thank you to Colin, who is retiring from this board and retiring from his post as chairman.
“He has occupied his post with incredible skill, intellectual rigour and openness during some very challenging times, and that is truly admirable.”
Responding to his colleagues, Mr Millar said: “I’ve found it very rewarding to work with you all; it’s been a privilege to have been chairman at the hospital.”
Mr Millar has stood down after more than eight years in the role. His successor is Michael Luger.
