HAWORTH Riding for the Disabled (RDA) members have shown their talents are not restricted to the saddle.
They have enjoyed success in an arts and crafts competition, with several qualifying for national championships next month.
"All the work was done in after-school clubs which we run three times a week with sponsorship from the Awards for All lottery fund and Aspire-i," said Jackie Butterfield, of Haworth RDA.
"I am so proud of them all, they did fantastically well.
"The judges particularly liked our sculpture of the stable yard, which took three months to complete!"
Winners who go forward to the national finals were Ellis Pollard, with 'My RDA Horse'; Caitlin Morgan, Rebecca Slater, T Jay Wilson and Keegan Hall, with 'RDA Countryside Challenge Our Dreams', and Lucy Hargreaves, T Jay Wilson, Finley Emmott and Rachael Bell , with 'Our RDA Yard'.
Members were also successful in a Special Olympics event in Derbyshire, including four first prizes and countless other awards.
And a musical ride DVD produced by Haworth RDA was runner-up in qualifiers and now goes forward for national judging.
