AN elderly man escaped unhurt from his blaze-hit Keighley home this morning after being woken by neighbours.
Three fires had been started deliberately outside the ground-floor flat in Foster Gardens, Broster Avenue.
Rubbish piled beneath a window, an area of decking and a wheelie bin were set alight.
Slight damage was caused to a window and guttering.
Crews from Keighley and Bingley fire stations were called out to the incident, at about 6am.
Police were also alerted and are investigating.
Watch manager Steve Moorhouse, of Keighley fire station, said: "The occupant was asleep when the fires were started but fortunately neighbours became aware of the situation and he got out safely.
"There was minor damage to the outside of the property and a little bit of smoke got inside."
