OXENHOPE is in "desperate" need of more youth worker support to help keep local youngsters occupied, according to a parish council chairman.
Oxenhope Parish Council chairman Councillor Neal Cameron praised his colleagues Councillors Penny Cusdin and Derrick Hopkinson for their efforts to get a youth club going in the village.
But he reminded the meeting that the pair were still struggling to find enough volunteers and youth workers to supervise club sessions.
"It would be good if we could get the same amount of provision as Haworth," he added.
Worth Valley ward councillor Rebecca Poulsen said: "I'll be attending a meeting with the area co-ordinator because youth services are going back under the control of the area committees.
"I'll be going along to find out what youth service support will be offered across the whole of the ward, including Oxenhope."
