A CROSS Hills brewery has brewed a special beer in honour of Movember.
Naylor’s Brewery, in Station Road, has brewed Handlebar, a 4.2 per cent pale ale, and 10p from every bottle sold will go to Movember, a charity that promotes men’s health.
The charity challenges men to do a sponsored moustache grow during November.
One of the Naylor’s employees, drayman Dale Elsworth, of Riddlesden, has agreed to take up the challenge.
“My brother and I would have grown a moustache, but we already have beards,” said Robert Naylor, who runs the brewery with his brother Stephen.
“Dale wanted to grow a moustache and it’ll be appropriate for him as he’s got a role as an extra in the new Dad’s Army film.”
Robert said 800 bottles were available for sale and pubs around Yorkshire were stocking up on casks of Handlebar.
He also said the brewery had brought back Magnum, a 3.8 per cent light session beer, for Movember in honour of Tom Selleck, who had a rather generous moustache in the 1980s American television series, Magnum PI.
