Spoken Parish Communion takes place at St Barnabas Parish Church on Sunday at 9am, and at 10am there will be a Service of the Word. No service at Long Lee Methodist Chapel. There is a joint service with Holy Communion at Cullingworth Methodist Church.

Keighley Men’s Forum meets at Keighley Playhouse today, at 10am. David Mosley talks about East Riddlesden Hall.

Autumn is celebrated with a fair at Long Lee Methodist Chapel on November 29, from 10am to 1pm.

Out and About walking group is in the Cowling area next Wednesday. Meet Edna at Keighley bus station to catch the 25 bus at 10.15am.

Long Lee Scouts are holding a race night at the Dickie Bird on November 29, at 6.30pm.

Bingo is held at the Dickie Bird on Tuesdays at 8pm, and on Wednesdays there is a quiz and Strike It Lucky starting at 9pm. There is a free supper at both events.

The Art and Craft Group at Long Lee and Thwaites Brow Village Hall welcomes people interested in any type of craftwork. You can call at the village hall any Tuesday or Friday, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Contact Barbara Klempka on 01535 669914 for further information. The group has four paintings on show at Cliffe Castle Museum as part of the Postcards Of Keighley project, run by Smallworld. The exhibition is on until January 11.

Awards were presented to Long Lee cricketers during a dinner at Keighley Golf Club on Saturday. A full report will appear next week. The AGM will be at the Dickie Bird on Saturday, at noon.
