DETAILS of plans to transform the former Haworth fire station into an emergency hub could be revealed next week.
Residents leading the campaign will hold a public meeting at Haworth Primary School on March 12 at 7.30pm.
The campaigners will update fellow villagers on their recent meeting with West Yorkshire Fire Service bosses, who last week expressed support for the project.
Leading campaigner and high-profile gardener Steve Thorpe said: “Both parties are keen to make it happen and have the station reopen as a community venture.
“We’re drawing up a plan of what we intend to do, and will hopefully be able to tell people at the meeting. We need to move fast.”
