A YOUNGSTER from Haworth used pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to help demonstrate the Nepal earthquake and raise cash for the disaster's survivors.
Edward Greaves, four, gave a talk about the tragedy as part of "show and tell" at his school to encourage pupils to donate money towards the appeal.
He has collected a total of £122.
His mother, Stephanie Greaves, said Edward found out about the earthquake after listening to a news report on the radio while in the car.
"I feel so proud of him," she added.
"It's important that children at this age know that the world isn't always a good place, and it's important that they know about different global issues.
"This was a complex subject for Edward to learn about, but when he went into school he used two large pieces of jigsaw puzzle to show how the earth's plates move and how earthquakes happen."
Mrs Greaves, who owns the Hair Studio salon in Cullingworth, said some of her customers had also donated money to go towards her son's fundraising total.
Edward is a pupil at Lady Lane Park School, in Bingley.
He delivered his talk about the earthquake last Tuesday.
